Is there any easy way to install a different kernel?

I think that my laptop doesn't like the Arch kernel, but my Ubuntu runs fine on it, so I was wondering if there is a simple way to "downgrade" the kernel, i.e., install an older kernel.

Or if there is a good guide somewhere for compiling a different kernel for use in Arch, that would help too. I'm not a total newb and am willing to experiment and risk breaking my Arch.

Kernel26-mm is in [unstable] and kernel26-xen 2.6.22 is in community. (both installable through pacman.)
That's about as easy as it gets. Otherwise, the wiki has some good how-tos.

That's what I was hoping for. I'm going to go try that now.
