[SOLVED] Monitor sponteanously goes into irrecoverable powersave

I've been using Arch Linux on a new computer setup for about 4 days, and twice recently my monitor has gone into powersave, and I can't get out. It won't let me restart X or switch to a terminal. If I unplug and plug in my monitor, it goes right into powersave again. I'm using KDEmod and an ATI Radeon x1650 graphics card. To set up my video card, I just installed hwd, ran hwd -xa to generate a xorg.conf, and installed catalyst. 3D Acceleration works fine, and I've had no other problems with my video output. Any Ideas? This problem could be potentially catastrophic.

Re: [SOLVED] Monitor sponteanously goes into irrecoverable powersave

Well I added flags to my xorg.conf file to prevent Arch from going into hibernate or standby mode and also changed my monitor's "display mode" to "desktop" instead of "gaming" (gaming caused all sorts of weird flickers too) and I have not had this problem since. Will repost if I do.
