GStreamer 0.10 has been updated to the latest versions in x86_64 testing. Any missing packages that I left out should be committed also now (I forgot libwnck, gnome-applets, gtk-engines and bug-buddy it seems).
The unofficial packages from cimi are at your own risk. As I cannot trust random binaries, I will build i686 from scratch. The AMD64 build I made has been built on an extra system with a selective part from testing:
- libtool 2.x
- anything that needed a rebuild for libtool 2.x
- gcc 4.3
- anything that needed a rebuild for gcc 4.3

my packages have libwnck, applets, gtk-engines and bug-buddy.
All of them were compiled with libtool 2.2-2 and gcc 4.3.0 (was a bleeding edge testing).
@JGC: yes you could not trust me, I'm not an arch developer but I'm a GNOME developer and the archlinux.it webmaster , I'm not new in this community so please don't call them *random binaries*

People building gnome packages might want to know that there is also a new version of NetworkManager which has been released but isn't on the gnome ftp server because the release team didn't have access.
Here is the relevant mail from the mailing list: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/networkm … 00112.html
I have made packages adapted from the existing PKGBUILDS in extra for libnetworkmanager, networkmanager and gnome-network-manager (also used libnl from AUR). They were basically just the same PKGBUILD but dropping a few patches that don't seem to be needed any more. The packages seem to work for me and you might want to consider including NetworkManager with the new gnome release. (I can offer the PKGBUILDs I have if anyone wanted them, but they aren't very complex).

Hey Cimi, dunno about yours, but my clock applet isn't working, and you forgot epiphany-extensions. besides of that, you've released some fine packages... would you look into it?
Offline
NetworkManager is not part of GNOME project
True, but it would be nice and it is sort of related.

My clock applet works perfectly on one pc, and needed to be *removed and readded* to another
Should be something related to gconf, dirty gconf settings from 2.20 that should be purged.
Regarding extensions, I will add asap

Thanks JGC. Now everything works. Even the Youtube plugin Finally I can watch Youtube in a bigger window. (Flash performance sucks on my x86_64)

Fix for Clock Applet
A good and a bad news.
The good news is that was a problem in my build, now fixed.
The ugly thing is that I haven't changed the -version of the package (to avoid mistakes between official packages), so you need to MANUALLY REMOVE libgweather from the cache, sync pacman, reinstall it.

sorry to ask.is that gnome-2.22 reached core repository? how can I upgrade?

I believe it's in testing, so you need to enable that repository.
flack 2.0.6: menu-driven BASH script to easily tag FLAC files (AUR)
knock-once 1.2: BASH script to easily create/send one-time sequences for knockd (forum/AUR)

well testing..I am afraid it will break some other packages.will wait for it to reach core.

Read the thread - it's not in testing
[gnome]
Server = http://www.archlinux.it/cimi/gnome/os/i686/
Don't forget to put it above core, testing etc. in your pacman.conf
Thanks to Cimi for this - am using it all day with no issues (fingers crossed)

I may not have read the thread (to answer what seemed to be a fairly simple question to check), but Noneus read my mind

Hey!:D Thank You very much!I will try tonight to install Gnome.
BTW,where does Gnome install on Archlinux? in /opt/ directory as kdemod does?
also,I have core,community,unstable,kdemod repositories in the order in my /etc/pacman.conf .is that OK?
also,Is this repo "official":D (I hope if it is unofficial,why dont we have these packages optimized for i686 platform )
Thanks again!!

@praka123
2.22.0 should be done by sunday for x86_64. i686 will follow one week later.
So this repository is just a temporary workaround. Devs are limited to whatever hardware is easily available to them. Here's his original post: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php? … 48#p342048.

^Okay!then,I will wait a week.

the fact that it is temporary doesn't mean it is unstable.
this repository is exactly the copy of current x64 testing by JGC, just compiled i686, and it is rock-solid thanks to JGC's PKGBUILDs (and gnome guys )
If JGC is not going to change the pkgbuilds, in the next week you'll have exactly the packages of this i686 repo

Cimi, is epiphany built with Webkit or Gecko? I've heard a lot of good things about Webkit, so maybe i will give epiphany a try.

No worries about stability here (at least so far).
Just make sure the gnome repo goes above core, community etc. in pacman.conf.
Cimi, thanks again

@Cimi
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to imply that the repository is unstable, only to remind people (especially me) to remove it in a week.
Edit: remove from pacman.conf

I'd like to test Gnome 2.22 and no problem enabling the [testing] repository to do that and give a pacman -Syu but doing that i would upgrade everything and this isn't exaclty what i want!I 'd like to upgrade only the gnome packages i've installed on my system (this isn't a complete gnome installation).
Is scripting the only way i have to do this or pacman help me with some wonderfuls flag like:
"upgrade only the packages of Gnome and Gnome-extra group installed on my system" ???
Thanks in advance
