Jre in Konqueror not working

I have jre installed and it works fine in firefox.
I have the path set in konqueror to /opt/java/jre/bin/java.
Enable java globally is ticked as well as use security manager and shutdown applet server when inactive.
I've closed and reopened konqueror as well as rebooted.
I have flash but no jre.
The kde I'm using is the kde from the original install, not kdemod.
This system was installed yesterday and is up to date.
Any suggestions or is it the jre itself?

The correct path is /opt/java/bin/java You find it with which java

That path doesn't work either,,,, for me at least.
Go to www.pogo.com if you can acess that url and try one of the free games there.
Each time I open a room I get the popup jre isn't installed.
Flash however works fine there.

I'd rather not get the thread off topic, but to answer your question, that's the best site there is along that line I've found, it's $40.00 a year U.S. dollars.

Ok, I found something different using java and it's even really funny

I can see that with the path you gave me, but to reply here, I have to disable java.
Sux cuz konqueror is faster than firefox.

Scratch that last. I just tried it again and I'm typing with java enabled.
