Hi!
Is it a bad idea to edit /boot/grub/menu.lst to make the timeout 0s? Is this the way to basically bypass the OS select screen (it will just choose the default)?
The only problem is that doing it this way, you wouldn't be able to access the fallback. Is this a big deal? (Or can you fix any problems with the install CD anyways?)

P.S. What colours are supported for GRUB's text interface? The default is a blue/cyan kind of theme and if they have cyan they should have orange, but orange didn't work for me!

Very bad idea! The fallback kernel and/or GRUB command line could save you one day. Just reduce it to 2 seconds or something.
