* Using the GTK Interface
* Decorator "" is invalid.
* Setting decorator to Emerald ("emerald --replace")

compiz (core) - Error: dlsym: /usr/lib/compiz/libccp.so: undefined symbol: getCompPluginInfo20070830

Must be a Arch64 problem, the update is working fine for me on 32, maybe wait to see if the repo's finish syncing?
Offline
Yup -- fine on 32-bit.

Yeah...I am on arch64 too...

arch64 have problems.
I compile it on a remote machine, where I have only an user account; so, until pacman isn't synced by root, I can't compile other packages.
Excuse me, but this part is necessary.

hi all,
just wanted to confirm this problem on arch64, enabled testing repository, installed on my notebook with onboard Intel GMA X3100 graphics-chipset.

Does this mean there will not be a fix for arch64? If you need root privileges on an arch64 system, maybe I can help as I have an arch64 system running at home, with GCC - could I compile a 64-bit package you're missing and send it back to you for the AUR?

Same here, broke for me when I updated last night.
Arch64+Gnome+Nvidia
The status tray icon works, so at least I can switch to another WM. Metacity, yuck...
When I select Compiz, I don't have any window manager.
All packages on my system are up to date.

I need to wait the pacman sync of remote machine.
You could take down the pkgbuild for x86_64 and compile compiz-fusion-plugins-* yourself..
Another time: Excuse me, but I architecture limitations

Busted on 64-bit for me too, but error message is a little different.
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/compizconfig.so: undefined symbol: ccsEdgesToStringList
EDIT: If anyone is interested, here is how to revert:
1) cd /var/cache/pacman/pkg
2) pacman -U compiz-bcop-0.6.0-2.pkg.tar.gz
3) pacman -U compiz-core-0.6.2-5.pkg.tar.gz
4) pacman -U libcompizconfig-0.6.0-3.pkg.tar.gz
5) Restart KDE, gnome, XFCE, etc.

I have problems with compiz 0.7.2, too but on i686. The open/close animations do not work. Only when I want to change the animation setting, this error appears in ~/.xsession-errors:
compiz (animation) - Error: Animation settings mismatch in "Animation Selection" list for Close event.
Does anybody know, how to fix it?

Ok, now all packages for x86_64 are upgraded; so, let me any bug report ( use community bugtracker ) for any other PACKAGING problem.

All plugins work fine now. Thanks DaNiMoTh.
However emerald does not apply window borders. Gonna investigate and file bug report if needed.
Thanks

Compiz Fusion works fine for me now (on arch 64). Mindfall: I have had that exact same error. For me, the fix was switching my method of starting compiz from using ~/.autostart to instead loading compiz from the start. You can find instructions on how to do it here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Com … id_KWIN.29

Thanks, I'll try that.
It sort of works now after a reboot although I did not change anything.
But when it crashes (which it likes to do) it won't start again without rebooting the whole system (restarting X isnt enough). Pretty strange as there is nothing compiz-ish left in the process list. Maybe a forgotten lockfile somewhere?
