Volume Control stopped working [solved]

I recently received a Gateway MX3231 and installed Arch on it, with KDEmod as DE. The first times i used it, and before finishing to configure everything, the volume control located in front of the laptop worked smoothly, showing a nice volume GUI (under same DE). I didn't get when it stopped working, now it doesn't do anything at all - even dmesg shows nothing. I found somewhere that this may be related to a problematic module (ac, thermal or battery) or acpi, but stopping acpid and unloading the modules didn't make a change.

I would really appreciate any help.

Appart from this, the notebook is working amazingly well, very fast and responsitive. I just couldn't make the video card to work but with vesa, but that's not related with this.

Re: Volume Control stopped working [solved]

Nevermind, I solved it myself. The problem was pretty simple: the 'keyboard model' was wrong. So i selected 'Laptop/notebook eMachines m68xx' and now everything is fine   tongue
