GARNOME/jhbuild=>Help for building Gnome(wanna try!)

Hi,
I want to build Gnome-2.22.x using GARNOME/jhbuild.I dont know which one is easier.
also,someone can help me step by step including the dependencies (devel files) needed in archlinux for building Gnome from source.

Also,Is it possible to upgrade the Gnome after building with above tools?
I will like to hear from official Gnome maintainers(arch) too

Well,I just want to try!I know that it is gruesome to build Gnome(while heard kde -it is easy,but I am not interested in kde!).

If you have x86_64 you can try gnome 2.22 from testing!
I don't know if i686 already done.
Why do you want to build you own?

heh!yeah I just want to try building using the tools(garnome/jhbuild)!
I already knew that gnome-2.22 will hit arch repos within few days.
Just want to try

I tried trying it, but was was takin too much time to compile, so i Interupped, will start it again soon.

You just have to download garnome tarball and do a "make paranoid-install/install"
It downloads each package, compiles it the installs it and then does the same this with next package.

I think isnt it better we have a directory like /garnome in ur distro and have a separate garnome-gdm
