OpenOffice 1.0.3

Hey Guys!

I tried to create a PKG of OpenOffice 1.0.3, but got this error:
GPC files not found

I had a look at google and found this link with the gpc-files:
http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/aig/staff/alan/ … index.html

Here's the question: how do I add them to AL? I don't know how to make a PKG out of .c and .h files lol

Please help me big_smile

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

take a look at how i did it in the 1.0.1 PKGBUILD. You do not actually have to make a package out of it you have to copy it into the destination they tell you to.

have fun building it you will have to patch the hell out of it to get anywhere. i never got it to build as the patching just became far to common and more and more features had to be compiled out.

EDIT: you can also find gpc on freshmeat. under General Polygon Clipper

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

maybe it's not the best training for a beginner, but I'll keep on trying! But I please need your help!
I it think it would be even better for arch, to keep things like OO running!

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

If you need the package, I believe there's one called blackdown.  It works the best with arch, from what I understand... maybe someone will check the license on that thing so we can know if we're allowed to package it or not... maybe I'll do that...

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

you need the blackdown j2sdk as the j2re does not have a javac.

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

I had a look at ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/languages/java/li … 1/i386/01/

But it looks like blackdown is a .bin-only file... how to make a package out of it?

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

yes " " | ./yourbinfile.bin

then the file is automaticly scrolled smile

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

No more need to fiddle with OpenOffice... Judd was able to compile OO 1.1beta... that one will be ready sometime in the next couple days (it takes forever to compile...)

Re: OpenOffice 1.0.3

The package is up in unofficial now.  I'm rebuilding it now (for the third time) to make sure the PKGBUILD works.

Download away...
