Can't play or encode h264+ac3? in TS file

hi! im trying to reencode a h264+liba52 in a .TS container to h264+mp3 in avi container, but either mencoder and ffmpeg give me a 0kb file and doesn't encode, i try playing the file with no success in mplayer, but in vlc it plays 3 seconds and then hangs, the funny part is that a ffmpeg -i gives me detailed file info and correct "Duration" of the movie:

FFmpeg version UNKNOWN, Copyright (c) 2000-2007 Fabrice Bellard, et al.

    Stream #0.1[0x1025]: Audio: liba52, 48000 Hz, 5:1, 448 kb/s

Any ideas? smile

Hello!

This file is not protected by DRM right?

leo2501,

By any chance do you have a link to a download for testing?

Re: Can't play or encode h264+ac3? in TS file

no i dont think it has DRM in it, i download it via torrent...

http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3675222/X-Men_III_Blue-Ray_H264_Remux_1080P_DTS-HD_HDTV_CHINA

now i see it says it has:

 Audio: DTS-HD 6.1 4.5M Master Lossless Audio (PID1024)
           AC3 5.1 448K (PID1025)

maybe the DTS-HD is messing the playing i think

You're right.
DTS_HD is not support in regular archlinux package.
I found this:
http://archives.free.net.ph/message/200 … 44.en.html

This patch was apply marth 17. So, try to install last mplayer svn and make another test. smile

Re: Can't play or encode h264+ac3? in TS file

There's no way to get rid of that audio track? some sort of copy again the file without that DTS-HD track? sad
