blank config files during install

Im doing a reinstall, and the install goes fine untill its time to configure rc.conf etc. Each of those are blank files? i have no idea what went wrong. I've reinstalled many times and still the same. I've even downloaded a new iso, and no change. Any ideas?

There will be a new iso soon, just wait for it.

well thats all fine and dandy, but is there a quick fix in the mean time. im with out system
