[SOLVED] [ctrl+insert] to copy doesn't work, it only puts a "5~"
I think for about the time the new kernel (.24) appeared I found that ever since the normal copy+insert doesn't work anymore...
To paste (with shift+insert) works just like normal...
Any ideas on what could be causing this behavior? Maybe the keyboard layout (us-acentos)? All help appreciated!

If you're talking about doing this in a terminal, i thought that just highlighting what you want to copy was enough.
If not, then is the control key working at all - i.e. does ctrl-c ctrl-v still work for copy and paste?

I doubt it's a keyboard layout problem then if the keys involved are all being recognized properly.
Have you tried just highlighting what you want to copy and "shift-insert"? I'm testing in my xterm at the moment and "ctrl-insert" also outputs "5~" for me, but you don't need to press ctrl-insert to copy it, just highlighting seems to put it in the clipboard.

Maybe you have to configure it, as far as I can remember xfce terminal has that option, that might be why I'm used to it, I just thought it was common linux language! Isn't it?

Ok so I guess I was mistaken, and this isn't common linux behavior, I reconfigured konsole to use the ctrl-insert for copying and that solved the case
