Hi,
I am hoping there are other users of Realtek's RTL8187B here who are keen to help fix the annoying issue of it not working in the latest kernel
I have been searching around and found this:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php … _id=652149
The developer actually managed to create a fix, directly available from:
http://rapidshare.com/files/92812937/rt … r.bz2.html
However, I can't get it to work. Someone did confirm that it works for them (even in 64bit, which I am on), but on Fedora.
Can someone please help me to get this up and running? I am familiar with insmod and making etc. just don't know what to do here, and whether this needs to be placed on top of an svn version of rtl-wifi or what.
Thanks!

It's a complete source tarball - just unpack and build it.

I tried simply making, but it doesn't have an install rule.

Not a problem - just copy the *.ko files manually to wherever you want them under /lib/modules/2.6.24-ARCH.
