Feature request...pkg.tar.bz2 support?

As an arch lover who recently downgraded to a dial up connection, I was wondering if it might be prudent to have pacman support bz2 packages so that especially large packages might be more swiftly downloaded.

Moreover, looking in the long term, an eventual switch from gzip to bzip2 would save space on the download servers as well (freebsd switched their package format to tbz2 for this very reason).
