Hard drive errors?

Hi guys,
Ive been having a few problems lately, i hear one of my hard drives click, and then about a minute later the whole computer freezes up.
Im trying to work out which drive it is, is it most likely to be the one arch is installed on? or could another drive cause it to lock up if its trying to write to it?
I found these errors after rebooting:
Is anybody able to explain what they mean?

Mar 29 14:52:29 kane ata1.00: exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x0 action 0x2

Mar 29 14:52:41 kane ata1.00: status: { DRDY ERR }
Mar 29 14:52:41 kane ata1.00: error: { ICRC ABRT }

Also this what does this mean:

Mar 28 11:24:05 kane sd 2:0:0:0: [sdd] Assuming drive cache: write through
Mar 28 11:24:05 kane sd 2:0:0:0: [sdd] Assuming drive cache: write through

Ive tried smartmontools, it showed some errors but running it again after my recent lockups shows no new errors so im confused.

Thanks
kane
