Ello guys,

I've finaly changed from Openbox to tiling window manager and I chose Awesome after some investigation.
Thanks to Gigamo and everyone at #awesome for your great help! smile

Nothing special in my setup, everything pretty much from Gigamos config.

Because it's tabbed. Try to change the SHOWALL (or whichever that is which defines which apps should be shown) setting to something else (it's been a long time since I used pypanel and had the very same problem, something like this solved it).

But if I were you, I'd simply use docker as a tray app and bind client-list-combined-menu (which also pops up when middle clicking on your desktop) to a key-combination in rc.xml.

Sure.  I can't find the original on deviantart so you can get it from http://allan.mcrae.googlepages.com/background.png

The wallpaper was from Tenr.de, you can find it here. All I did was merely resize the wallpaper from 1280x1024 4:3 to 1280x800 widescreen.

Ok, thanks. Showall=2 kinda works (I can't minimize by clicking on the panel, but that's ok). I don't know what you mean with docker though, as I don't have urxvt in the tray. And to koch: there is a thread in the newbie corner wink.

I fear that was a lot of off topic because of me now, sorry for that.

I meant by docker and combined menu that I'd use them instead of pypanel. smile

Re: April 2008 Screenshots

Tried out BSD, then came back after like 3 hours.  This is what I've done today.  Openbox, Pypanel, Conky, GTK is Nova-Arch, and Mire Blue for the openbox theme.  I made the pypanel and conky configs.  PM or whatever if you want them.

Re: April 2008 Screenshots

Pretty boring, but I'll post it anyhow smile

Very minimal, I'm using Openbox with no bars.  The background is a 'shop of Vladimir Putin, and the theme is form the openbox-themes I believe.  Conky is pretty basic as well, but I will provide the .conkrc upon request.  The only thing special about it is that it collapses when I'm not connected to the net.

Off topic, but testube_babies, I was listening to Apostrophe in Sonata when I came to this page, and it was odd to see Frank in two spots on my screen at once. Fun coincidence. Nice avatar.

+1. That would be great.
