atkbd.c

Does anyone know how to make this stop? It's really annoying, and sometimes it even slows down my boot time drastically.

atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x8d on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00d <keycode>' to make it known.
atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x8d on isa0060/serio0).

Re: atkbd.c

This only occurs when I press strange key combinations during bootup.  Is that the same for you?

Re: atkbd.c

It actually happens regardless of whether I press anything. It even continues...I can look at dmesg...and it is still going...I think it is actually eating some of my resources over a period of time as well.

Re: atkbd.c

It actually turned out to be a BIOS issue with my inspiron 1501. The solution was to update the BIOS, shut the laptop down, take the battery out and put it back in, and that fixed it.
