alternates to fish://

Do any other file managers (right term?) besides konq support protocols like ftp:// or fish:// (names not as important as functionality..)  I'm considering a move from KDE to XFCE/Fluxbox.  It doesn't appear to me that you can do this in Thunar though.  Any alternatives?

I don't think Thunar supports virtual file systems like KDE does. I suggest you look into FUSE with sshfs.

Yeah I looked into it and actually got it working.  It's awesome if you need to access a remote filesystem regularly, but konq is just incredibly convenient for those one-off times where you're not expecting to need to connect quickly. (i.e. when you have somebody on the phone and need to quickly login)  I was hoping an alt file manager like rox or something could do this.

fish:// still doesn't work, at least for me, but I use sftp:// not sure what is the difference...
