Network unreachable with Fusion HotSpot

Hello,

I have the nifty little eee kernel on an Asus Eee PC here, and I'm having trouble with the free wifi at my hotel.

At the free wifi place where I work, I have no trouble getting online (it doesn't require any special login and such) but at this Holiday Inn Express, they have Fusion Hotspot, and I can't get it to work. I've tried using wifi and ethernet (I presume the network is controlled by Fusion Hotspot either way). Both ways the connection seems to be established (I get an IP and everything) but it pops up "err, ath0 (or eth0): netlink: Network is unreachable."

My wife's windows laptop has no trouble getting onto their system.

The process is as such:
You connect to their wireless network, (mostly works on both, SSID is right and all)
You bring up any webpage (works on hers, I get network unreachable again) and log in with a provided user id and password and you're online.

I can't seem to find anything about it online. And seeing as the router is functioning properly, and I know my wifi/ethernet setup was working fine with several networks already, I would presume it's just that Fusion Hotspot doesn't play well with my linux box. Am I out of luck? Any ideas what I should poke? This post expires tomorrow (I leave the hotel), so I guess this is more of a curiosity thing than a "help me, I'm stuck" thing.

Why use Linux over Windows or Mac? That's like asking: "Why live in a democratic republic over an aristocratic fascism?"
