monitor resolution on upgrade

I upgraded system yesterday and all systems are working fine, except on startup the screen resolution  changes after the grub splash screen.  The screen fonts are VERY big.  Once I log in to the user space the screen looks ok and things are back to normal.  Logging out to the command line returns me to the VERY big fonts (bad screen resolution?). Any suggestions as to where to look for problems?  Thanks

Re: monitor resolution on upgrade

You'll want to configure your VGA resolution.

flack 2.0.6: menu-driven BASH script to easily tag FLAC files (AUR)
knock-once 1.2: BASH script to easily create/send one-time sequences for knockd (forum/AUR)

Re: monitor resolution on upgrade

I'm sorry I didn't mention that earlier. I already tried adding that vga resolution fix to my kernel line and it pretty much turns everything  off until my login screen appears.  thanks for the input.
