Getting an HP Photosmart to print over the network

Title about sums it up. I have installed Cups along with ghostscript and gsfonts and started the daemon. I added a printer and used the PPD that was suggested on the wiki, but it is on a network, so as the address i put http://192.168.0.195, but it isnt working. It is a HP Photosmart 3310. Am i using the right address?

Thanks

Re: Getting an HP Photosmart to print over the network

My Photosmart printer uses the same IP range as my network, in my case 192.168.15.XXX

Also did you install hplip?
Was only able to install the printer correctly using hplip

Im pretty sure that i did install that, i might have tried the PPD for it instead though, ill check when i get home. I tried to add it using Cups administration interface using its ip on the network.

Re: Getting an HP Photosmart to print over the network

hplip says that it cannot find a useable sudo/root program, or something like that.
