Hi everyone.... no newbie problem here, just saying Hi. My friend and I just finished configuring Archlinux on my system... after a pretty hectic install of BCM4310 wifi drivers. Just wanted to post up and say hi.

I don't know why people always say that! I've used both b43mxx and b43 and they've both worked fine with a broadcom 4306--maybe older is better. Just look at the forums and see how many people have so much fun with wireless. It must be hard.

It's not difficult as much as it was annoying... thought process below
ok drivers didnt load right... try installing module...failed
ok we need ndiswrapper...ohh its already installed...
go get drivers... crud they are in a windows exe....
go boot up windows computer
cringe as comptuer takes forever and a day to boot
download drivers through ie..deal with stupid ie warnings and slugishness
extract drivers
dig through files and copy .inf files to a flash drive
copy files to /root/bcml5 folder
run nidswrapper commands
reboot
find module didnt load
configure module to load @ boot
reboot
woohoo network
ohh yeah still have to configure the rest of the system..

Hello, I'm an Archlinux newbie too!
Never got those broadcom drivers to work, although I've tried everything. Fixed the problem when I bought an Edimax USB card. This one works very nice.
