you can safely background the rest too. i havent tested it with net-profiles but with network it works ok

crond is probably starting before openntpd has had a chance to set the time. That's not ideal. So, to (hopefully, but not essentially) fix that,I would change it to:

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng net-profiles @netfs @hal @openntpd @fam @alsa @crond)
