Hello everyone. I am not a newbie at linux, I have been using Arch linux for about a month. So far I have gotten all my answers and fixed all the wierd issues I have had, except a new one has popped up that I cannot seem to understand or solve. Here is a screenshot:
As you can see, I have to drag firefox (and Terminal) down a little to actually be able to drag it nomally. Same thing with nautilus when I open files from the desktop and gedit when opened from terminal.
Please help, this is really frustrating!

Somewhere in desktop settings you should be able to edit the margins. <- in openbox it's a tab in obconf. For gnome it shoule be relatively easy to spot.
Somewhere in the panel settings you might also be able to select 'never on top' or similar.

I'm sorry, but that is not the case. I cannot drag the window back to that position after I ALT-Dragged it back away from it.

In the compiz-settings-manager enable place windows under the Window Management Category.
Had the same issue yesterday and this resolved it.
Hope it helps.

Compiz problem that one. Disable evil compiz or go to their forums.

Fixed. Actually took less than a minute searching "window placement compiz" in google. I enabled the place plugin in compiz. Fixed.
EDIT: I'm sorry, the answer was above me. I didn't read it completely. Thank you.
