Brother HL-1440 "Not Connected" in CUPS

Hello,

Has anyone had success running this printer under Arch64?

CUPS says the printer is not connected. It is.

I found the Wiki for a different Brother printer, but the instructions don't coincide, i.e., unpacking the CUPS-wrapper RPM doesn't create a ~/var directory.

Thanks for your help,
Daryl

Except var directory, do you have all the files mentionned in the wiki ? Did you modify them accordingly ?

What directories/files do you get when extracting the RPM archive ?
