Arch automagically works with my TV-out port :D

I decided on a whim to try the TV-out port on my graphics card. I didn't expect it to work because on Windows I had to fiddle around installing drivers for it. In Arch it just worked. It isn't working at the best resolution, but it works.

Because of that discovery, I'm in the process of converting my computer from "super-technical-looking-no-GUI Scary Linux Machine" to "wow-new-shiny-fast Home Entertainment System". I would really like to use it with MythTV, but unfortunately I don't have a TV tuner card. So I'll be using it for movies and music mostly.

Some cards open the tv out if they dont see a monitor plugged in

May be the card does not see the monitor cause of some disconnected wires ?

I would say it has nothing to do with Arch itself, its mostly your video drivers or Xorg default behaviour that enable you to do this - I don't think Arch comes with anything pre-configured so that it works by default.
