Arch + prelude =?

hello!
first i d like to say that i m a total noob on linux
Ok, so i installed arch despite problems etc, i m running kdemod, but i have no sound.Alsa cant find my soundcard which is auzentech prelude.
Official drivers are supposed to come out @ Q4 2008 ( sigh), and i m wondering if i can do something just to have sound.
The cards chip is x-fi but i dont know if it will work with creative drivers..
