Direct rendering stopped working on Catalyst 8.3-2

I had been using the Catalyst 8.02 driver for some time now, with DRI. I have only recently upgraded the Catalyst drivers to 8.3-2, and it stopped working. Here is my xorg.conf:

Okay, complete shot in the dark, but could it be something to do with these lines? Perhaps this is why you get the later error appearing:

Have you tried specifying your BusID in the 'Device' section then giving it another go? As your Xorg.conf stands now, you don't have anything assigned. Mine reads as follows:

BusID  "PCI:1:0:0"

It could well be what's stopping the driver being able to assign dri.

And for the lines:

Try assigning the correct amount of memory you have like this:

Option    "MaxGARTSize" "128"

Remember that settings like those won't be applied as long as you haven't used aticonfig once or used aticonfig in the first place.
