GTK control previews missing

I just installed a GTK theme from gnome-looks.org and now whenever I go to System>Preferences>Appearance the Bug Reporting tool pops up asking me to submit a bug report. Then if I try to customize a theme, I find that all the previews under Controls, Window Border, and Icons are missing.

How might I go about fixing the problem / restoring those? I'd try to delete the theme I just installed, but I can't. Any time I highlight it the window refreshes and move my selection back to the first theme.

[edit]
I'd even just be happy to find the absolute path where the themes get stored so that I can manually remove the offending theme.

/usr/share/themes or ~/.themes

Re: GTK control previews missing

Ah, it was ~/.themes.

Finally, I can open "Appearances" without it complaining at me. Thanks.
