It is some time from firefox3 b5 release, but it is not in unstable yet (using Arch64) but i686 had it in the day of release (or so).
I tried to switch some other repos but still no ff3b5 :-( currently i'm using:
Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/$repo/os/x86_64
Or have i missed something? :-[

No, it looks like b4 is the latest in the x86_64 repo, you could try this firefox-nightly
With a few changes to the PKGBUILD it should work on x86_64.
EDIT: Or of course you could just get the b4 PKGBUILD from ABS and edit that

Unstable? In what way?

Unstable? In what way?
In the "[unstable] repo" way. Nicky's looking for it in the official repo.

I guess reading all of the words in the post would have been to my advantage...

Normally, 64 bit repo is a little bit behind i686 one. A week or so of waiting for an update after it has gone up at i686 repo is not at all uncommon.
Though I have to admit, 10 days is kinda long wait. I suggest you gives us a shout if it didn't get update after 20 days or so.

I uploaded Firefox3b5 package for x86_64 to this repo:
[tanis]
Server = http://jakub.markconstable.com/x86_64
It is based on PKGBUILD form [unstable], but with enabled system cairo and nspr,
since those packages are now in versions recent enough (in [extra]).
This repo also includes Amarok 1.4.9.1 for x86_64 (based on PKGBUILD from [extra]).

I'll update it tonight.
EDIT: We recently moved the repos from cvs to svn. That caused the delay.

It could take up to another fews days to have the package available. There's a minor problem with the repo.

Please forgive me for barging into this conversation !
Just installed an arch64 distro & the FF3 in the unstable repository. Everthing seems to work perfectly, except I cannot open files, for instance .PDF. It complains about not having the "associated helper application". I checked the preferences -> applications tab : it's empty and I cannot add anything. In firefox 2, it does work (and if the filetype is unknown, it asks what to do anyway
Any idea ?
cheers !

The reason is that the firefox package in Arch is compiled without gnome-vfs support, so it doesn't integrate very well with Gnome. Try spookyets package in AUR instead: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15184

OK, but why is it without --with-system-nspr and --enable-system-cairo options...?
