installation fails, computer hangs after print:"READY"

Hi,

Installation sequence:

boot from CDdrive  : OK
menu to choose  options like  parameters "noapic" ...   or  "memtest" : OK
now the there are lot of dots printed  and "Ready"  and the computer reboot

I´ve  tested with many combinations of the parameters  but  it doesn´t works .

some data about the system  : 
CPU: AMD K6-2
RAM: 128MB
sorry, more may next week , i can´t remember

used version :   ARCH 0.8  (full)

are there ideas, how i can run the installation  ???

maybe I should use another (newer) image/version ? ??
