SATA drive mounted on /mnt/usb1

Hi guys,

i have this weird problem where my laptop's SATA hard drive is mounted on /mnt/usb1(2,3,4,5). i am running arch stock kernel, GNOME, dbus and hal. whenever i plug in an usb stick or external hard drive, something happens and some drives are mounted & some are not. and in Nautilus clicking on one drive takes me to another one. It seems like mounting the external drives replaces my SATA drives, so they are not mounted anymore. i don't know how to explain it better. if you need some more info, let me know what i can do to provide some more. i read wik's and searched the forum, but i don't have a solution. i would like my partitions to be mounted on /media if possible.

thanks for your help.
