Half of screenshot not displaying

I have this nasty problem of only half of my screen area showing up when using the screenshot tool with gnome. 
I have two screens and the screenshot tool only captures from the left screen and doesn't record anything for the right (i.e. the left screen shows up and the area where the right screen area should be is left empty)

Any way to alleviate this or a better screenshot tool suggestion.  Using seperate X screen with xinerama enabled under Nvidia X server settings if that makes any difference.

For testing purposes, try scrot. It's a very small command line tool. Just install it with pacman, open a terminal, and type 'scrot'.
