alltray show/hide not working

Alltray starts fine and sends apps to the tray but I can not show/hide them at all.  Undocking works.  I'm running xfce and the system is up to date.

I was thinking maybe it is related with these errors I get when I logout of xfce.  The xfce panel never has closed gracefully.

** Message: xfsm-shutdown-helper.c:209: Using HAL to shutdown/reboot the computer.

Agent pid 5610 killed

waiting for X server to shut down xfce-mcs-manager: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server :0.0.

The application 'xfce4-panel' lost its connection to the display :0.0;

most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed

the application.

Re: alltray show/hide not working

Update:  If I run the command 'alltray program &' it runs as expected.  Running the program, running 'alltray &' and then selecting the window to minimize does not function correctly as described above.  Any ideas?
