Look at the difference between Firefox's text and Konquerors. (Firefox is on top, Konq on bottom) Firefox's is rather... ugly; konquerors is how the site is supposed to look. Why is that, and how can I fix it? Firefox looks fine on pretty much every other site except that one, but I go there often and the text looking like that is bothersome haha. It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to fix if I can but I don't even know where to start.

Try going to about:config in Firefox and entering dpi into the filter and then change the value to 0 to see if it helps.

Hmm nope that didn't seem to do it.

Any other ideas?

You are sure that you did not confuse the images? I'm pretty sure that firefox displays the page just the way it's meant to be, it's more Konqueror, which displays the page the wrong way, as it is, for instance, omitting broad text formatting, from what I can see.

I'm absolutely sure that I didn't confuse the images. I only used Konqueror to check to see if fonts were messed up in it as well, and they were not. I use Firefox all of the time, and if I go to ubuntu forums right now, the fonts look like the top image (when I would prefer they look like the bottom image.)
Other than switching browsers, is there anything I can do to fix that?

If you are referring to the font being smaller, you could change the default font size in firefox's settings. For me, font settings are relatively equal, compared between firefox and Konqueror, I just did a comparison. Firefox draws the chars broad and uses the same font size as Konqueror in your screenshot.
What about your font settings in firefox then? I'm using size 16 for proportional/[sans-]serif and 12 for monospace text, no minimum font size.

I'm not talking about the font size itself, I'm talking about the "Main Categories" and "Any" fonts. See how 'bolder' they look than in Konqueror? Konqueror display's the forums like they were displayed in Mint using Firefox, as well as in Windows using Firefox. I've tried the solutions in the Firefox Arch wiki, but they didn't have any effect.

It's not the same font they are using. While firefox is obviously using Tahoma as default font, Konqueror relies on another one (DejaVu SansSerif, what I can see from here, but I'm not an expert).
In firefox, under font configuration, have you checked the box to allow web pages to use their own fonts?

Yes, I have that option checked.

Hrm... I changed Serif to Arial, Sans-Serif to DejaVu Sans and turns off allowing pages to choose their own fonts... everythings looking good now.
It kinda feels like a cheat, but whatever works I guess.
Thanks for the help everyone :-D

It's because if you use Arch, you are not supposed to be on the Ubuntu forums

Try firefox3-systemcairo from aur. It has better font rendering.

I think it's subjective because i find the top image to have much prettier fonts!

I too, like the top image better!

Why is the (5656 viewing) part only in the Firefox screenshot?

Firstly, I too think, that Firefox displays the page in a better way. Tahoma is amongst my favourite fonts.
Why is the (5656 viewing) part only in the Firefox screenshot?
Easy explanation. He displayed both pages shortly each after, this is why under Konqueror there is one more posting. He is using Firefox as his primary browser I guess, therefore Konqueror has him not marked as logged in. Only logged in users have the information displayed, how many users are viewing some particular subforum.
