[Solved]Can't use 32-bit browsers

Installed bin32-swiftfox from AUR, always worked fine before, now I get this error:
/opt/swiftfox/swiftfox-bin: symbol lookup error: /opt/lib32/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: g_dpgettext

Any help is appreciated.

Edit:  Downgrading the lib32-gtk2 package fixed it.

Re: [Solved]Can't use 32-bit browsers

Don't know specifically what's going on - what version of lib32-gtk2 do you have installed?

I've been using 3.0 pre-releases for quite a while now, but didn't want to overwrite the 2.0.0.x series in case people want to stay with the 'stable' version.  3.0 has been wildly successful for me, however, so along with news of your problems I went ahead and released the package I'm using.  The reason I use a different package name is so that I could eventually have parallel installations of both versions around, but I haven't worked on it since I'm so happy with the 3.0 version smile.

Note:  If you use FireBug, just get the 1.1.0b12+ version from www.getfirebug.com smile...

Edit: link to new package bin32-swiftfox3-prescott

Re: [Solved]Can't use 32-bit browsers

I had the same problem with Swiftfox and Acroread.  The problem seems to be lib32-gtk2-2.12.9-1 which was installed after a pacman -Syu yesterday.  Downgrading to lib32-gtk2-2.12.7-1 fixes the problem.

Kazuo Well I still have it in /var/cache/pacman/pkg I don't know where it's available on the Internet.  If you can't find it let me know your email and I'll try and send it to you.

I'm also having this problem and can't find this version of the package anywhere. Could you also email it to me (sinister.ray@gmail.com). I run a webserver so I'll post a link to it for others to get too afterwards.

Re: [Solved]Can't use 32-bit browsers

Please exuse my ignorance, but can someone tell if it is caused by:

1. Bug in gtk2 package, so it will (hopefully) be fixed in future gtk2 package version.
or
2. an API change of gtk2 , so it will (hopefully) be fixed when firefox/whatever releases its next builds against updated gtk2.
or
3. Something completely different.

thanks!

Re: [Solved]Can't use 32-bit browsers

Now it is really solved:
lib32-glib2-2.16.3-1 and lib32-gtk2-2.12.9-2 just came through community repo, and 32-bit firefox is working again.
