firefox 3 and gmail

Hey guys,

Sometimes when I reply to a message in gmail using firefox 3 I don't get a caret (flashing insertion cursor telling me where I am in the document). I don't know why this is. And I don't know how to fix it. And I am irritated. Any ideas?

Re: firefox 3 and gmail

Works for me with the latest firefox-nightly from AUR. You could give that version a shot.

This has happened to me before but it was on firefox2. Actually, I think it was related to vimperator... do you have vimperator installed?

I'd try the standard "mv ~/.mozilla/profile.* oldprofile" and try again with a fresh profile.

Re: firefox 3 and gmail

Oddly enough, I just installed vimperator in an effort to FIX the bug. But I still have it. :-(

I remember having it with firefox 2 a long time ago, but I don't remember what fixed it.

I'll try backing up my profile.

Re: firefox 3 and gmail

Well, wiping out ~/.mozilla worked.

Now I have to remember my passwords. ;-) I found my way into the bbs though, the password was "phraktureismygod"

Re: firefox 3 and gmail

There is a plugin in firefox that imports and exports passwords , if you used your old profile, exported passwords then started fresh and imported those you should be good.

edit, in case your feelin lazy. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2848

edited again!
