xfce doesn't manage desktop anymore

i think is after a lately -Syu, but a couple of days ago my girlfriend xfce session stop managing the desktop so there's no wallpaper and no icons in the desktop (yes "manage desktop" option is activated lol)

i tried to convince her to use wmii with urxvt's and gnu screen sessions with no luck lol

Run "xfdesktop &" from a terminal, save your session when you logout.
