Hello, Problem with sony vaio and fn key

Hello,
I installed an arch on sony vaio vgn s5m and the fn keys do not work.

I tried to search in web, but are not able to solve.

I have resolved in part by smartdimmer for adjust the brightness but eg the gnoem applet adjust the brightness of the screen is not working ...

You know?

Why with ubuntu my fn keys works, and under arch doesn't work?

i have the same problem on my dell m1330. with ubuntu no problem, every fn-key works. but with arch i did not get them to work properly...
