Hi all.
I'm just wondering if there was a simple, built-in command for bash that will have a gui pop up asking if the user wants to continue or cancel a command.
There's always zenity, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing something much simpler, but I can't for the life of me find it. ><
Any help or advice is appreciated.
And for the curious, I hope to use this for halt, reboot, and log out. I find it much more user friendly if I am asked before everything is closed.

bash? gui? nope. bash itself has nothing to do with gui.
just use something like zenity.

Cool. Found gxmessage in the AUR and am playing with it now. Thanks for the heads up.

you may want to take a look at dialog. Its sort of a curses/built in terminal appearance.
