Konqueror and Java

I notice that Konqueor takes seemingly forever to load the NY Times Sudoku page, whereas Firefox loads it quite fast. Here's the page:

Is this only me?

Works fast enough on i686.

Takes a minute or two to load the puzzle on my Pentium IV under Konqueror. Firefox takes but a few seconds.
