wireless automatic settings

hi all!
I'm using gnome 2.22 with networkmanager...I often use my laptop in different places, with different types of wireless networks...(dhcp, wpa etc.), how cah I set networkmanager to automatically bring the right setting for every network it sees?
I know wicd can do that...but what about metworkmanager?? am I missing something?

thanks a lot!

Re: wireless automatic settings

It should be automatic after you connect to a wireless network. The only think it should ask is to unlock the keyring.

Re: wireless automatic settings

You may be interested in netcfg2 which has auto-wireless feature. It is described in ArchWiki: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Network_Profiles (see "Automatic Detection" chapter).
