udev, hotplug and usb mouse

After switch to udev, my XFree cannot start - no mouse. I am using /dev/usbmouse. Which one should I use after switch to udev? Also should I switch to X.Org for future?

and as for xfree vs xorg, it looks like xfree is (almost)dead...

XFree86 4.4 and Xorg are nearly the same still, so there's really no need to waste bandwidth to download Xorg.

Xorg is planning a new release on 25th of August with many bug fixes and new features.
