Phrak moved host as it seems, and the libdownload page is not available anymore.

Pacman works properly with some minor code changes on libdownload and makepkg on Solaris Sparc systems :-).

If the changes you made are only hacks, and you broke compatibility with other systems, it would still be interesting to know what the issues are on solaris.
