It appears that gnome-obex-send has been obsoleted in favour of bluetooth-send. I'm able send files from my mobile to laptop but not viceversa. I get "Bluetooth OBEX server failed: The name org.openobex was not provided by any .service files" when doing that.
Both my mobile and laptop are able to 'see' each other as you can see below.

Same problem here. Have been working with it for hours - but it just fails. The bluetooth package was disowned. roman kyrylych now has it. dunno if he has done anything to it yet. also tried with blueman - but it seems blueman is also in some way depending on the obex.

blueman appears to be completely broken (it still uses gnome-obex-send, which does not exist anymore).
Anyone got any clue?

I have opened bug report http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/9755 to track this issue. Please add your comments/provide more information to the report if you are facing the same problem.
Thanks.

obex-data-server is required which is not available in the repos. Thanks to Thomas Bächler for pointing this out.
I have created PKGBUILD for obex-data-server in AUR. See http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15549
Install obex-data-server from AUR. Restart bluetooth. You should now be able to send files from your PC to mobile phones using the bluetooth applet tray icon.
Case closed.

I have had similar problems but managed to get files transfered to my phone using bluetooth-sendto ...
Now I used search on forum to find bluetooth [threads] and this one did not show up [was not at the top of list] ... had to go onto google to find it ;-S
Will check wiki not sure there is much Bluetooth stuff on there

As far as I understand, obex-data-server will have the /usr/bin/gnome-obex-send binary right? As soon as it is built, I'll add a notice to blueman's install script.
