mouse pointer mapping

Hi everyone

Is it possibly to make both mouse buttons 3 and 8 to act as mouse button 3?

To save time, reboot your computer in the background using "reboot &"

Re: mouse pointer mapping

Probably something like:
xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 3"

If theres more buttons than 8 you should just continue on, eg. 9 10 11 12, while omitting 8.

Re: mouse pointer mapping

I tried that, but it is complaining when using the same number twice...
