Hi,
archlinux currently carries a old version of cdrkit, will some one build a AUR package pls?
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/13437/
root ~ # cdrecord --version
Cdrecord-yelling-line-to-tell-frontends-to-use-it-like-version 2.01.01a03-dvd
Wodim 1.1.6

Based on works from Joerg Schilling, Copyright (C) 1995-2006, J. Schilling
there is some bug fixes
also,I know that cdrtools is available in AUR.but cdrkit is the replacement;isnt it?

The easiest solution would be to use ABS to build it yourself. Probably just have to bump the version number and change/remove md5sum

but,why archlinux hasnt updated yet to latest cdrkit?
its beyond me
reg, abs, pkgbuilds will be available in aur,so that everyone can use!
already I am using latest deluge(torrent client) from aur while archlinux got an older version

The current version of deluge looks up to date to me:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/14133/
In fact the one in AUR is out of date and against the rules so no longer exists...

well,at the time I tried, the one available in repo was old
I hope cdrkit will be updated soon?

I'm sure it will happen when the maintainer gets time... he probably has had more important thing to look at like the libpng vulnerability which is also his package. The devs know what their priorities are.
