Anything to help in the log (/var/log/pm-suspend.log from memory...)?

This the message when launch pm-suspend:

We do not own /var/log/pm-suspend.log, refusing to overwrite.

when you type 'pm-suspend --help' it will give you a list of options: '--quirk-*-*'.  '--quirk-vbestatus-restore' worked for me.
You might try some of the others.  Also, you could try sshing into the vaio via another computer and try some stuff. i.e.
restarting X.  Changing the framebuffer could give you problems (If you don't know what that is, you probably didn't set it)
(It's the terminal text size when X isn't running).

urxvtc / wmii / zsh / configs / onebluecat.net
Arch will not hold your hand

Thanks, but still not working. I tried all --quirk-*-*.
