Ramdom freezes

Hi all,

Well... That's it... I get random freezes every week or so. Here are a few infos:

I'm on a HP tx1420 ca
3 gigs of ram
AMD Turion X2 2.3 Gz per core

kernel 2.6.25-1
nvidia [EDIT:] WAS: 169.12-3 IS: 173.08 [/EDIT]

This does not occur at any time in particular i.e. I do not do anything in particular that could cause the freeze.

Querying my logs via

grep /var/log/* | grep [time of the freeze]

or time of the freeze -1 or -2 minutes do not show *anything*.

Finally, here is the output of dmesg

Linux version 2.6.25-ARCH (root@architect) (gcc version 4.3.0 (GCC) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Apr 19 15:39:26 CEST 2008

Re: Ramdom freezes

NOTA: These are hard freezes. Can't ctrl-alt-backspace to kill X or ctrl-alt-Fx to go in console...

Re: Ramdom freezes

Since you're running 2.6.15, you need the latest beta Nvidia driver (AUR).
