Sonata remembering position

Hi all, pretty simple question.

I use Sonata with mpd, and it's working great, except for one issue. When I open it (by clicking the systray icon), move the window around, and position it somewhere, after I've minimised it, when I maximise it again, its forgotten where I put it.

ie, if I move it to the right-hand side of the screen and minimise it, always when I maximise it, it is back to the top-left of my screen. It doesnt behave like this on my other system!

Any ideas?

Re: Sonata remembering position

It works fine here, perhaps your window manager is the culprit?

You're right, all my new windows open in the top-left corner. I'm using GNOME with Metacity. Though I did have compiz-fusion installed at one point.

Try unchecking "/apps/metacity/general/disable_workarounds" via gconf-editor.
